Our Elder, Our Treasure

This publication is dedicated to Peggy Brown (dec.), a founding member of Tangentyere Artists. A senior woman, Peggy had an intimate knowledge of the time that preceded her, a time rich with culture and traditions. She was a living history of times gone by. She narrated stories, informed through her art, and now, these accounts are safely documented at the Art Centre - sadly she has passed away. Her wisdom and strength however, gave Tangentyere Artists the perspective and grounding to carry on, to nurture each and every artist, and to carefully consider our roots for the future.
